Toy Box Occupational Therapy, LLC is a therapist-owned private practice that offers pediatric occupational therapy services in both home-based and a farm clinic setting.

Home-based sessions take place at your home. We offer occupational therapy services utilizing hippotherapy as one of our treatment strategies. We have 2 new hippotherapy openings for Fall 2025. Please call/text 814-419-4616 for more information.

What is Occupational Therapy?

​

Occupations are everything we do throughout the day. If you are a toddler, you might eat, help dress yourself, fasten your zippers and buttons on your clothing, brush your hair, play, feed yourself, wash your hands, etc. If you are a school-aged child, you might wake up on your own after a good night of sleep, dress yourself independently, prepare your own food, complete restroom hygiene, pay attention to lessons in school, complete school work, participate in hobbies, sports, and after-school activities, get ready for sleep, and fall asleep. Occupations are individualized to every person. In Occupational Therapy, we work toward functional goals, tailored to each client’s occupations and what they want to and need to be able to do as independently as possible. What is Hippotherapy?

​

Hippotherapy is a research based technique that uses equine movement to provide various motor and sensory input to the individual. Skillfully directed equine movement, under the direction of a licensed therapist, can offer the individual an opportunity for complex motor learning. Hippotherapy, in conjunction with other treatment strategies, promotes the engagement of the sensory, neuromotor, and cognitive systems, and improved balance, coordination, and motor skills to assist in reaching functional outcomes.

2025 Scheduling and Pricing:

Pricing is as follows:

Evaluation & report write-up: $250 

Home-based OT Treatment session: $50 + travel fee* per session

OT Treatment session with hippotherapy: $75 per session

Telehealth OT Treatment session: $50 per session

*Travel fee: $5 + round trip mileage

                    ​​

Treatment session pricing will be prorated based on recommended service time. Cash, check, and credit card payment accepted. Information on grants to assist in session payments and superbills are available upon request.
